Casino night Saturday (Jan. 14) to help kids pay for school needs

The Coast to Coast Foundation, a nonprofit organization, is raising funds to provide scholarships for students in the Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District McKinney-Vento Homeless Education Program.

Twelve $100 scholarships are planned. Scholarship winners can choose to use this money for team sport fees, glasses or anything the student may need for school, said Grace Paoner, director of The Coast to Coast Foundation. The scholarship winners will be given their awards on Feb. 15.

Most of the money for the scholarships is hoped to be raised at a casino night on Jan. 14 at The Tuscany Club, 100 N. Harbor Blvd., Fullerton.

Tickets for the 4 to 8 p.m. event cost $25 and include $500 in casino chips, a drink ticket and appetizers. There will also be a silent auction, including two dates with a firefighter.

Tickets for the benefit can be purchased online at coasttocoastfoundation.org.
